3.9 iPhone and iPad - Setting up an IMAP email

Step 1

Enter the "Settings" of your phone, scroll to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendar" section. In the most recent version of iOS, the section will be called "Accounts and Password" instead. Then select "Add Account".

Select "Add Account" and select "Other" from the list of choices.

Select "Add Mail Account".

Step 4

Enter the requested information and press "Next":

Name:
This is your full name, the one that will appear as the header of your messages.

E-mail :
This is your email address ending with @navigue.com. (in the example below: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

The password :
The password that was provided to you with your email.

Description:
Enter the description of the email you are configuring. (in the example below: Work E-mail).

Step 5

Enter the information about the receiving and sending servers, and then press "Next".

Account type :
POP

Hostname of the receiving server (incoming mail server):
mail.navigue.com

The username:
Your complete email address.
(example: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The password :
The password that was provided to you with your email.

Host name of the sending server (SMTP server):
mail.navigue.com

The username:
Your full email address, including your domain name.
(example: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The password:
The password that was provided to you with your email.

Step 6

It is possible that a message about mail server authentication will appear, if so, click "Continue". Otherwise, your configuration is complete.

Register the account, go back to the "Accounts" section, and select the account you just created.

Check that the information about the receiving server is correct:

Hostname of the receiving server (incoming mail server):
mail.navigue.com

The username:

Your full email address, including your domain name (example: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The password:
The password that was provided to you with your email.

Then go to the "Sending Server" section and click on STMP.

Step 9

Check the information about the sending server:

Host name of the sending server (SMTP server):
mail.navigue.com

The username:
Your full email address, including your domain name. (example: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The password:
The password that was provided to you with your email.

SSL security must be disabled and select "Password" in the "Authentication" section.

Port number :

465 

Finally click on "OK".

Step 10

Back to the previous interface, go to the "Advanced" section.

Step 11

In the "Advanced" section, make sure that SSL security is disabled and select "Password" in the "Authentication" section. Leave the default incoming server port number (110).

Go back to the account interface and finally click on "OK". You have now completed the configuration of your POP email.
